Scim and Tk: Cannot enter any characters into edit fields

Hello, I have the problem that as soon as SCIM runs, I cannot enter anything into the edit boxes of Tk applications like /usr/X11R6/bin/Convert Any ideas? This is with SUSE 9.3 and scim-1.3.0-0.1. Tobias

Updating scim to 1.4* helped: I can enter characters. But using scim for entering something does not work. I can use the shortcut (e.g. Ctrl-Space) to activate a scim scheme, but all my keystrokes are ignored until I change back to "Keyboard".
