[opensuse-m17n] Need New Chinese Fonts
I found that these old fonts: ttf-arphic-bkai00mp ttf-arphic-bsmi00lp ttf-arphic-gbsn00lp ttf-arphic-gkai00mp are still in Factory-tree I propose we use CJKUNIfonts instead http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/CJKUnifonts And uming should define as the default font of Traditional Chinese just like ubuntu . -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-m17n+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-m17n+help@opensuse.org

Huh? The old Arphic fonts are STILL in repository? I haven't followed recent development... Anyway, if this is really the case, I would hope if opensuse can use CJKUniFonts to replace them. Most distro has already abandoned the old Arphic fonts, and use uming as default Chinese font. However the maintainer only maintains Debian package, so the newest release tarball is under these 2 locations: ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/t/ttf-arphic-uming/ ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/t/ttf-arphic-ukai/ Abel

No, we have uming and ukai now and uming is the default
unless the commercial fonts FZSongTi or CMEXSong are installed.
