ok people.. i am here to ask you now
should lxde provide XFBURN or BRASERO as CD burning tool?
the main reason to NOT use XFBURN is fixed... thunar package has been fixed (already into x11:xfce, ready to be submitted to factory).
that means no more un-needed xfce depencies are required... no more thunar than...
It's also a more general question in the medium term if we want to keep mixing XFCE and Gnome applications and thus two sets of shared library dependencies (which also affects memory usage).
what now... should we keep brasero or go back to our original choise xfburn?
xfburn has some serious deficiencies, it doesn't allow directly copying media, it cannot verify media after burning, and it doesn't do multisession. Brasero also claim Blu-Ray support although I don't have the hardware. Memory-wise xfburn takes 13MB and brasero 18MB RSS which is rather negligible. -- Guido Berhoerster -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-lxde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-lxde+help@opensuse.org

So I think the last issues suggest using Brasero. I prefer better functionality. -- Lutz Thuns openSUSE official member (lOtz1009) LXDE team -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-lxde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-lxde+help@opensuse.org
