Your opinion is noted

But unless there is a significant increase in contributors to the MicroOS
Desktop I can assure you that this is not a likely route any time soon, and
options like basing the MicroOS Desktop on a non-openSUSE codebase (Arch?
Ubuntu? Fedora?) might be more viable than the long haul you suggest.
