[opensuse-kernel] boot Problem with 12.1 kernel
Hello, with the 12.1 I have bad Problems to boot the system? I have to wait near 5 Min. ore more With the 11.4 and the last Tumbleweed Kernel for 11.4, Kernel 3.0.7 all works fine. I tested this with the "original" Kernel for 12.1 and the Tumbleweed Kernel for 12.1 My Hardware is a DX58SO2 Intel Board with 24 GB Ram and a i7-990X Processor The first stop is before the Message "doing fast boot" afterward the Problem is with udev and the Partitions and so on Have any a Idea why this not work correctly. -- mit freundlichen Grüßen / best Regards, Günther J. This smells like a well known problem that has nothing to to with the kernel. Have your read the release notes section about systemd & sysvinit-init? cf. https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=725503 multiminute hang/delay during systemd boot https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=732395 systemd takes 5 minutes to start processes -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
