Oh hey, -rc2 was released over the weekend. I hadn't noticed. I have a v2.6.35 branch already started and merged with -rc1. Michal - Can you enable building and publishing for this branch? Michal -

Once you'll be rebasing to -rc2, please include 386f40c86d6 ("Revert "tty: fix a little bug in scrup, vt.c") on top of that. Sole -rc2 without this fix corrupts memory randomly, possibly (and reportedly) leading to corrupted filesystems etc. Thanks, -- Jiri Kosina SUSE Labs, Novell Inc. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org

Is there still a possibility 11.3 will have a 2.6.35 kernel? Or is it definitely 2.6.34 at this point? Thanks Greg -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org

It's definitely 2.6.34. There's no way that 2.6.35 will be done in time. Even if it were, we wouldn't have nearly enough testing done on it. Once Michal enables building and publishing on the branch, it'll be available for testing by anyone who wants to grab it. Factory will get 2.6.35 once 11.3 is branched off. - -Jeff - -- Jeff Mahoney SUSE Labs -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.15 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAkwNLhcACgkQLPWxlyuTD7KGrQCfcWlg+nr7NzprOOeDj+ARQN8Z EqkAnA0BpoaDx/dRpG3jL8qtyYhBgzG5 =smeA -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org

Done, the branch will be soon pushed to http://gitorious.org/opensuse/kernel-source and the rpm will appear on ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/kernel/kotd/ and in Kernel:v2.6.25 in the OBS. On a related note - Jeff, could you use a different naming scheme for 2.6.36 and beyond? I'm working on https://features.opensuse.org/309637 (Expanded kernel-source) and those branches named after upstream tags will create ambiguity in the expanded tree.
