disabling kde 3.4 kdm login window messages
Dear list members: I've just upgraded my kde 3.3.2 to 3.4 on SuSE 9.2. I do not like the messages window under the user list in the login screen. Is there any way to disable it? I could not find such an option in the login manager. Thanks, IG
Edit the file /etc/opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc Search for the key "ShowLog" and set it to "false" If you do not find the key, just add it to the [X-:0-Greeter] Section. Best, Daniel Am Samstag, 19. März 2005 20:57 schrieb Gabor Istvan:

Thank you! One by one the issues with the new KDE, both major and minor, fall by the wayside.
If you do not find the key, just add it to the [X-:0-Greeter] Section.

Thank you for the answer. This helped. IG
