I have just been testing Kopete (0.8.4) on KDE 3.2.3 to chat with others
on Yahoo messenger. I can successfully log in, add contacts, and chat
with each contact individually, but I don't know how to chat with more
than one other in the same panel simultaneously. The Kopete manual
indicates that this can be done, but not how it can be done. I believe
that Yahoo IM protocol supports this IRC style, but I have not yet found
a way to do this.

I just upgraded to the 3.3 "supplement" - Now none of the screen savers work. I get the list, I can get into setup on the ones that have it, but "test" does nothing. The little monitor "preview" doesn't display anything either. Ideas? Steve Kratz
It's not "none screensaver" just "no xscreensaver". All native KDE savers work fine. I fixed the xscreensavers with these symlinks (as root) ln -s /usr/X11R6/lib/xscreensaver /usr/lib ln -s /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xscreensaver/config/ /etc/xscreensaver That's because kxsrun seems to search for the xscreensavers at the wrong places. I straced this down like this: strace -f kxsrun atlantis 2>&1 |grep atlantis Daniel Am Donnerstag, 19. August 2004 21:55 schrieb Steve Kratz:

Thanks much- Worked perfect. Now, what change did the KDE people make that needs the symlink?

Like I said, kxsrun seems to search for the xscreensavers at the wrong places. That could be because of wrong compile time options. Daniel
