Re: [opensuse-kde] Planet Opensuse RSS Feed in Akregator doe snot work correctly)
I added the feed in Thunderbird the other week but noticed these issues, so I contacted the maintainer a few days ago via the link on the Planet openSUSE website. So far, no response. But it must therefore be a problem with the feed, not KDE or an app. Peter -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks for the replies . Good to know that its not me alone and that its not a problem with Akregator per se. So lets see what we can do to fix the issue with the feed. Is there a possibility to raise a bug? Or can we only email the admin of the feed? Don't you think it's a problem with the individual blogs changing the time stamp on their posts in their feeds? So that the Planet aggregator software sees them as new. At least that was always my assumption, but I never researched it. But the problem seems to happen recurringly with only a few specific blogs/bloggers. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

To help planet, you can fork it on github and do you best to fix it. https://github.com/openSUSE/planet.opensuse.org/ It can be fixed, or if someone knows a better code, it can be replaced too. Its true that its not all blogs but as an example the Blog by Peter Cannon I got twice again overnight again (and its always with the original timestamp). I also got http://blog.seader.us/2009/04/opensuse-112-kde4-theme.html this is from 2009 http://priyankafoss.blogspot.cz/2012/05/integration-with-bugzilla-complete.h... from 2012 and http://mvidner.blogspot.cz/2010/11/dbus-dump.htm from 2010 so from 12 feednotifications overnight - one was a genuine new article afaics Unfortunately I don't have the coding abiity to look in the code myself, but something seems to be broken there.
