I am told xine requires hal too, so if that's correct there's probably no way around having hal in the default 11.4 kde install - k3b or not. If you mean the issue with duplicated entries e.g. in dolphin Places panel I think that's fixed in 4.6rc1. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

It's the same for batteries in the battery applet. Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Actually battery works with only upower. status, discharging, failed battery (always have one to test that), suspend & resume The brightness slider doesn't indicate the right status but that more linked to nvidia drivers. (works with hal : but only the reporting, not the direct adjusting) -- Bruno Friedmann (irc:tigerfoot) Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch openSUSE Member User www.ioda.net/r/osu Blog www.ioda.net/r/blog fsfe fellowship www.fsfe.org GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 vcard : http://it.ioda-net.ch/ioda-net.vcf -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

4.6rc1 will fix all the duplicated entries as that only one SOLID backend (HAL or udisk/udev/upower) will be active. The HAL backend can be switched on (and the default udisk/udev/upower will be switched off). Not so much a problem, as it was discussed to put pulseaudio by default. Which work nicely actually under 11.4 -- Bruno Friedmann (irc:tigerfoot) Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch openSUSE Member User www.ioda.net/r/osu Blog www.ioda.net/r/blog fsfe fellowship www.fsfe.org GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 vcard : http://it.ioda-net.ch/ioda-net.vcf -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
Michal, the K3b developer, has next to no time for K3b. If anybody could fix K3b, it'll be great. Am Montag 20 Dezember 2010, 07:03:50 schrieb Bruno Friedmann:
