This was previously referred to on the "KDE 3.51 - How is it?" thread. If the system tray is in a kicker panel which is on the top right of the screen, one icon belonging there is always displayed on the top left of the screen. I test with moving the panel from the top right to the bottom right. This fixes the problem. Can anyone confirm it? Also, I moved the panel from the bottom left to the top right. It was set to autohide. But it came out from autohide only when I moved the mouse to the bottom left (previous position) instead of the top right (current position). Similarly, if I move the panel from top right to top left, I need to take my mouse to the top right to make the panel come out from autohide on the top left. Can anyone else confirm this so I can report a KDE bug? -- Tux #395953 resides at http://samvit.org playing with KDE 3.51 on SUSE Linux 10.0 $ date [] CCE +2006-02-11 W06-6 UTC+0530

Panel position and the place to move the mouse to, in order to unhide it, are two different settings. So if you have the panel at the bottom and the bottom set to unhide the panel, just moving the panel will not change the setting for the place that unhides it. Right-click on the panel, go to the panel's preferences and chose the hide tab. There you will find something like: "come to the fron, if the mouse touches: bottom of screen. If this does not work for you, then you should file a bug. I will file a wish to make the place to unhide change autoamtically with the position of the panel. Sven
Sorry for my previous mail -- I found bug #121756. (But I think maybe you could vote?) -- Tux #395953 resides at http://samvit.org playing with KDE 3.51 on SUSE Linux 10.0 $ date [] CCE +2006-02-19 W07-7 UTC+0530

Is is marked as WONTFIX, which does not make sense, unless this behaviour will be changed in the KDE4, but anyway. The only possibility is to re-open it, if it is still relevant to KDE4. I hope it is fixed in KDE4. Sven
