Hello,
is it possible to update the current installed KDE packages with SuSE-YOU? I don't want to identify my package versions and
download the
relevant packages manually!
Yes, it is. YOU means Y)aST O)nline U)pdate. So fire up YaST and Click on "Online Update". The rest is more or less self-explaning. You'll see. :-)
I can't see the actual packages for kde 3.0.4 on mirror ftp.gwdg.de and others in SuSE-YOU ;-( Where can I get the packages for KDE 3.0.4 with SuSE-YOU (SuSE 8.0)? Regards, Steffen
Hi, I can't find the 3.0.4 update either. A few days ago on my first 8.1 install YOU was able to find 3.0.4 and install it, but today on another 8.1 sys YOU does NOT show 3.0.4 as available. What changed? PeterB On Thursday 24 October 2002 11:35 am, Steffen Petter wrote:

Apparently they're working on a security update on the 3.0.4 packages, so they pulled the existing packages. Roman Drahtmuller on the suse-security list told everyone to "wait a few hours" and the new, hopefully secure, packages will be up there. Anders

I seem to recall that you can't update it through YOU, I might be mistaken, but you can update them through apt-get and synaptic, which is why i turned to apt. Check out http://linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm/ the download area is in the software installation part, right above the component list. it syas get .5.4 here... if you use mozilla right click on the package and save link as, otherwise you just get the source. There up now, but you have to download a YOU update first which is preselected. Therefore, update YOU then restart YOU and the KDE 3.0.4 packs will show up. HTH, Curtis On Thursday 24 October 2002 11:35, Steffen Petter wrote:
