[opensuse-kde] Status of qt4 patches to make libreoffice using kde native dialog boxes
Hello, just a small email to knows where we are concerning the status of patching qt4 (essentially for 13.1) to make LibreOffice (13.1 release 4.1.6) and newer Loo-Stable repository able to build and use the patch to enable native kde dialog boxes. What is missing to succeed ? -- Bruno Friedmann Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch openSUSE Member & Board, fsfe fellowship GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 irc: tigerfoot -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

The necessary fixes to libqt4 are already in the KDE:Qt repo (actually since June, but something didn't quite work, this has been fixed recently). For Factory the latest version is in review currently: https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/253723 If you need the KDE4 file dialogs in LO 4.2/4.3 _now_ or want to test the fix, add the KDE:Qt repo and install libqt4 from there. What's wrong with 4.1.6? The 4.1.6 included in 13.1 uses the KDE4 dialogs just fine here with the standard libqt4 from 13.1. Unless you have "ibus" installed though. This will force the GNOME integration even on KDE. https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=851982 Uninstall "ibus" and you should get the KDE4 integration. AFAICS, ibus should not be there on a default KDE installation anyway (but GNOME pulls it in). That has nothing to do with either LibreOffice or qt4 though, it is done on purpose by the ibus package (it sets OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=gnome /etc/X11/xim.d/ibus) as a "Better way to fix cursor following problem (on_the_spot bug) under libreoffice-kde4". (the first, not-so-good way was the explicit conflict of the above bug report) I do not know anything about that "cursor following problem (on_the_spot bug)" though. What's wrong with 4.1.6? beside the fact its old nothing special. ;-)

Well, I had a little data source browser problem https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=875292 which was gone, when I upgraded to 4.2 Best regards Thomas Hejze -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Ok, but the question was about "kde native dialog boxes", and those work fine here in LO 4.1.6 on 13.1 (with the standard libqt4 included in 13.1). That's why I asked. Your problem has absolutely nothing to do with this thread.
