[opensuse-kde] Plasma requires an additional service for this operation
For the past few weeks, a window has appeared on my KDE desktop after I login, titled "Install Plasma Resources" The content of the window says: ----- Plasma requires an additional service for this operation qstardict data engine The following service is required. Do you want to search for this now? ----- If I click Continue, there is a briefly displayed 'Querying' progress bar, followed by 'Could not find service in any configured software source.' I have no idea what this is about. At first I thought it might relate to the Dictionary widget, but this works perfectly alright, as does everything else here. I usually just click 'Cancel' and the warning goes away (for a while). Anyone else seen this? Yes, me too. I use the dictionary widget, too, and have no idea why this message appears.

Maybe "http://tiny.cc/ud9yyw" can help. Viljo -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks Viljo, that link worked. Interesting discussion, but I couldn't see anything to persuade me that the qstardict-kde package adds any additional features to the Dictionary widget, which appears to work well without it. Thus it's function would seem to be to remove an error message informing me it has not been installed. I think I'll just click it away, as I have been, but I appreciate your efforts in helping me understand what's going on. :) Kind regards, Bob -- Bob Williams System: Linux 3.7.10-1.4-desktop Distro: openSUSE 12.3 (x86_64) with KDE Development Platform: 4.10.3 "release 559" Uptime: 18:00pm up 0:04, 0 users, load average: 0.03, 0.20, 0.12 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
