How to start non-KDE app at startup?
Hi, I have recently installed SuSE 9.1 Professional, and am trying to figure out how to start non-KDE applications such as xscreensaver (or perhaps Mozilla) automatically at KDE startup time. In the past I have been able to run apps from .Xclients in my home directory, but SuSE does not appear to use this file. Can someone help me with this? Thanks for your help! -Cris
You can put command lines in .Xsession or copy executables into the Autostart directory. On Friday 13 August 2004 07:50, Cris Perdue wrote:

Or write a small shell script were you call all the applications you want to start (don't forget to make it executable) and put it into the Autostart directory. Links to applications in the Autostart directory should also work gl
