Hi, Since I upgraded to KDE 3.0.4, the logout windows has only one option (the shutdown and reboot options has gone!) Does anyone knows how to recover these options? Control Center > System > Login Manager Administration Mode "Sessions" tab Under "Allow Shutdown" make sure "Everybody" is selected. Apply. Later, Joe

On my machine update to KDE 3.0.4 failed to set the links to kdmrc correctly - here is the link to SDB article http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/wessels_kdmupdate.html Additionally, setting who is able to restart/shut down machine through systemrc or YaST security module does not seem to work consistently. The reliable way is to change KDM settings with Control Center or even edit /opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc manually. Serguei

I think you are not using the kdm login manager of kde3. Only when using this login manager, you have this feature when logging out. If you are using the right kdm, you should check your kdmrc file, who is able to reboot/halt the machine. Greets, Daniel
