[opensuse-kde] KR repos having files with unresolvable dependencies
Hi, I do not understand it. Nearly every time, when a new 4.x.x version came up the last times, some days in advance / or just before there was a working version in this repo, there were some packages in there, which have dependencies which cannot fulfilled at the moment. Right now for example, there is a kdelibs4 (4.8.0) package, which requires kdebase4-runtime >= 4.8.1, but kdebase4-runtime is 4.8.0. Also there is a kdebase4-session 4.8.1, which requires kdebase4-workspace >= 4.8.1 ... When I look at OBS, a lot of packages are still unresolvable. Is it not possible to wait with the publishing when a new maintenance version comes up, until most of the packages have been built correctly? Otherwise, one always has to look at OBS and other sources to get some clue what is going on. Sorry, but that is really annoying :-( or even might get a broken installation. I know, these repos are only for people, who know what they are doing, but still the repo should not be broken at some point. Some clarification about this issue would be very much welcome. But please do not start up another discussion, which repo should be used by which people... Regards, Stefan P.S.: I found it also a very nice idea (which came up on this list) to just give a short notice, when a new (maintenance) release is ready for download. And thanks for your otherwise good work, anyway! -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Problem is that Release repos are for those that know what is KDE 4.8 from KDE site, or elsewhere and look for that, so update should be just boring process. In other words +1 for your post. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
