[opensuse-kde] Strange toolbar icons in OpenOffice 3.2
Hi, I've just upgraded my OpenOffice.org to 3.2, which I use on openSUSE 11.2 running KDE 4.3.5. The toolbar icons all have a strange horizontal striped background, which disappears when you mouse over the icon, though this only works for the active or enabled icons. This makes me think it's a display problem, so may be KDE 4.3.5 related? Other details about my setup are in my sig., below Has anyone else seen this? Which OO application, all? I tried Writer and Calc and both show the icons correctly. I run OO.org-3.2.0, but kde-4.3.1.

Well, it certainly happens in writer, calc and impress. I haven't tried base or draw. As I said, I'm wondering if it's related to KDE 3.4.5 Bob -- Registered Linux User #463880 FSFE Member #1300 GPG-FP: A6C1 457C 6DBA B13E 5524 F703 D12A FB79 926B 994E openSUSE 11.2, Kernel 2.6.31.12-0.1-desktop, KDE 4.3.5 Intel Core2 Quad Q9400 2.66GHz, 4GB DDR RAM, nVidia GeForce 9600GT -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

What's your gfx card+driver and have you tried if disabling the kwin effects makes a difference? Some time ago OOo would trigger some gfx garbling with nvidia blob and kwin effects - maybe they've found a way to trigger a new bug in the nvidia driver. Haven't installed OOo 3.2 on my machines so I can't really comment much. Can you provide a screenshot of the issue? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

nVidia GeForce 9600GT and the driver is 190.53_2.6.31.5_0.1-8.1 Disabling kwin desktop effects made no difference

I would if I knew how :( I've taken a snapshot of the window, but I don't have a website to put it on. Hm, you're not using neither kde icons nor the kde4 integration. Does the problem persist regardless of which icon theme is used for OOo? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Which package do I need to install to integrate the OOo icon theme with kde4? YaST tells me I have OpenOffice_org-kde4 3.2.0.5-1.1, but this is described as extensions rather than integration. I also have OpenOffice_org-icon-theme- oxygen 3.1.1.4-1.1.4, which tallies with my Oxygen desktop icon theme. Or is there a setting in the OOo options? It appears I was using Widget style 'cleanlooks' and not 'oxygen' :( On reverting to 'oxygen' style widgets, the problem with the display of OpenOffice.org icons has disappeared, and nothing else appears to have changed on my desktop. I am happy :) Thank you, and thanks to Patrick for hosting my screenshot. Hi Bob, I've seen this with RC3 but as there's lot's of update to kde4.3.5 and kernel (my nvidia) Things are getting right after one or two days. Also try to update every extension you could have. Some of mine need to be removed as they are no more supported. -- Bruno Friedmann aka tigerfoot on IRC -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
