I'm running SuSE 8.0 and recently used apt-get/synaptic to upgrade from 3.0.2 to 3.0.3. Now, whenever I press a "Help" button in any KDE-native app (KMail, etc.) nothing happens. Is there a fix/workaround? Thanks! -- _________________________________________________________ Another Message From... L. Mark Stone Email: LMStone@LMStone.com Web: http://www.lmstone.com

Your problem may be the missing file issue in the upgrade. The file (khelpcenter.desktop) needs to be placed in /opt/kde3/share/services. For some reason the rpm script nukes the file on upgrade. If you'd like to try it, I can send it to you off list. It's a 3.2 kbyte file. This solution is cortesy of Jim Owen on the 'comp.windows.x.kde' ng. Ken
I'm having this same problem, that help isn't working. Please, Ken, could you send me this file or post it somwhere? Thanks! Pere Ken Phelan wrote:
