[opensuse-kde] KDE Frameworks 5.20 error
I did an update of http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Frameworks5/openSUSE_13.2 but now I can not start KF5 based apps any longer. E.g.: kwrite: relocation error: /usr/lib64/libKF5XmlGui.so.5 symbol _ZN15QGuiApplication35setFallbackSessionManagementEnabledEb, version Qt_5 not defined in file libQt5Gui.so.5 with link time reference which is: QGuiApplication::setFallbackSessionManagementEnabled(bool) not being available in Qt5.5 Was KF5 5.20 built against some Qt > 5.5 version ? Works fine here (I'm also on 13.2).
kwrite: relocation error: /usr/lib64/libKF5XmlGui.so.5 symbol _ZN15QGuiApplication35setFallbackSessionManagementEnabledEb, version Qt_5 not defined in file libQt5Gui.so.5 with link time reference
which is: QGuiApplication::setFallbackSessionManagementEnabled(bool) not being available in Qt5.5

(I have installed Qt 5.5.1-242.1 from KDE:Qt5 / openSUSE_13.2)
Are you sure you have the latest libQt5Gui5 from KDE:Qt5? Doesn't look so according to that error message... For explanation: a few weeks ago we added a patch from Qt 5.6 to our 5.5.1 packages to be able to include the session management fixes in kxmlgui5. But that also means that KF5 applications won't work any more with older (unpatched) Qt 5.5.1 packages. Oh, sorry. Actually you already answered that question in your mail... ;-) 5.5.1-242.1 is *not* the current/latest version. # zypper se -s libQt5Gui5 Daten des Repositories laden ... Installierte Pakete lesen ... S | Name | Typ | Version | Arch | Repository --+----------------------------+-------+-------------+--------+--------------------- i | libQt5Gui5 | Paket | 5.5.1-247.1 | x86_64 | KDE:Qt5 v | libQt5Gui5 | Paket | 5.5.1-247.1 | i586 | KDE:Qt5 ... So, update your Qt5 packages and it should work. Kind Regards, Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
