Because a SuSE 9 upgrade completely hosed my home account I guess I'm going to have to create a new user and port my stuff to that account. Most stuff I can easily back up, but I'm not sure how to backup and restore K-mail data and settings. Any suggestions? That's easy. You need the following folders/files ~/Mail (in your home directory) ~/.kde/shared/apps/kmail ~/.kde/shared/config/kmailrc ~/.kde/shared/config/kmail.eventsrc I think that's all. That should give you all your account settings, filters, events etc you set up before. You can follow the same procedure for other apps also, like KOrganizer, just look for the respective files.
