Konqueror Bookmarks Lost
I had to reset this SuSE 9.2 system which was followed by an fsck that required a manual repair. Konqueror bookmarks came up missing. Was this file wiped or is there a link missing? How can I check for these files specifically internally? What do I look for? Gary

Check /home/<username>/.kde/share/apps/ for your konqueror directory with all the bookmarks. There should be a file there called bookmarks.xml, if it hasn't disappeared. Thanks Lee. That did it. Found the file but got "XML parsing error: fatal parsing error: error occurred while parsing element in line 1, column 5" when I tried to read it in the browser. There was a .bak file fifteen minutes before this one with the error. I saved the error .xml file just in case and saved the .bak file too then copied the .bak file as the regular bookmarks.xml. The bookmarks turned up like jewels in a crown. Whew, what a relief. Gary
