KMail mailboxes to Outlook?
All, I've seen discussion of moving your e-mail from MS Outlook over to Linux and KMail. What about going the other way? I have several thousands of messages in KMail that I'd like to have available *as e-mail messages* in Outlook. A change at the company has required that I get rid of my Linux partition and go back to Windows and Outlook. I can use Linux on another computer, but my e-mail is to be handled via Exchange Server and Outlook.... darn-it! I know that I can just move everything over as plain text, but it would be much more useful to integrate all the messages that I've kept in KMail for the past 14 months back into Outlook -- which I was previously using. Hints? Suggestions? /kevin

Can the Outlook machine talk IMAP? If you, you should be able to adapt the attached perl script for your purposes. It is what I used to migrate some hundred MB of mail from a c-client based IMAP (port 1430) server to a Cyrus system (port 143). It may be adaptable for your purpose. if the problem is to communicate with the Exchange Server, the solution for your problem could be Ximian Evolution with the Ximian Connector: http://ximian.com/products/evolution/ "Ximian™ Connector is a unique extension to the Ximian Evolution, corporate and personal information management software that allowes Linux and UNIX to collaborate with co-workers using Microsoft Exchange 2000. With Ximian Connector installed, Ximian Evolution functions as an Exchange 2000 client, enabling users to become full participants in company-wide group scheduling and other collaborative tasks, including accessing public folders and Global Address Lists, personal email, calendar, and task lists, and group scheduling information." -> http://ximian.com/products/connector/ Best wishes Lutz
