[opensuse-kde] Clipboard problems since KDE-Update
Hey, since one of the last KDE-Updates from KDF the clipboars is not really working anymore. The Mark, Copy&Paste using the middle mouse button is not working anymore, and the klipper is not getting any copied strings. I see this on two machines. Is this a known bug? no, didn't happen to me on openSUSE 11.4/KDF. was this a very recent upate? perhaps my mirrors haven't heard about it yet. i do remember that at one point, quite a while ago, klipper wasn't working. i assume your last update wasn't several months ago? at that time, IIRC, removing klipper configuration from ~/.kde4/.... solved the problem, but can't remember clearly. if KDE4 stuff acts up, removing/renaming the relevant config often helps. -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Hey thanks for the fast reply :) Sadly this doesn't change everything :( I just noticed that the middle button is working normally while klipper isn't running. It has to be an update from this week. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
Howdy, My laptop is running `openSUSE 11.4 + KDE 4.6.x' and one niggling issue I've noticed is the icons in my Virtual Desktop widget do not instantaneously update as they do with KDE 3.5.x. For example, if I move a window, the icon isn't updated until, say, I click on the desktop. Is there a setting which needs tweaking? Something like `for-the-impatient-must-have-it-now=true'? Howdy, Changing tack, do people see the window icon's update instantaneously in their Virtual Desktop widget (lives in the system tray area)? Thx! On Friday 19 August 2011 at 11:48 am, Pablo Sanchez penned about "[opensuse-kde] KDE 4.6 - Virtual Desktop icons do not refresh instantaneously"

Howdy, For completion, following up on my post, the problem is resolved after a fresh 64-bit install with KDE 4.7 I decided to upgrade from a 32-bit O/S due to other reasons. I'm happy the issue is resolved. :) Cheers, -- Pablo Sanchez - Blueoak Database Engineering, Inc Ph: 819.459.1926 Fax: 760.860.5225 (US) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
