(forw) Re: [suse-kde] Sichern der KAddressbook Einstellungen
HG needs a KMail person to help him out. ----- Start forwarded message ----- How can I teach KAddressbook to keep the column widths I used when I closed it? I only have three colums that I use, but everytime I open it the columns are so wide that I can see only one of them. Next: When I double click on an entry the default is the business address being shown in the new window. How can I change this to the home address as default? Gets kind of annoying to always have to klick several times to get the home address (since that is what I use most). Thanks HG ----- End forwarded message ----- -- Ben Rosenberg ---===---===---===--- mailto:ben@whack.org Tell me what you believe.. I'll tell you what you should see.
Suse 8.0 Similar problem here except that my columns are very narrow and do not keep any changes made. The use of KAddressbook is very restricted like this. Is there anything else that will interface with kmail ? Brian Marr On Saturday 28 December 2002 05:21, Ben Rosenberg wrote:

Use Ximian Evolution for your email and addresses. It's installed as part of SuSE 8.0. Just execute 'evolution in the run box or create a new link to application for your desktop as I did. :) It's a very professional program, similar to MS Outlook in a looks and function! Oops, my answer to the other guy was in German. To keep it short: KDE 3.0.5 fixed this, SuSE didn't appear to include the fix in their updates. I have a compiled kaddressbook under ftp://kuhi.net/kde/kaddressbook which should work with updated SuSE KDE and QT, and might work with the default versions. No Guarantees!!! -Chris

No KAddressbook is a completely separate application. The mailing list to look at would be kde-pim@mail.kde.org (archived at http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-pim&r=1&w=2) regards, Chris
