Opened bug http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=511480 against usability but I suspect kdesu but there is only kde3, kde4 workspace and kde4 applications whereas this bug affects kde3 and 4 . Any help will be appreciated. Regards Dave P

The problem disappeared after I edited kdesurc but I can no longer reproduce this bug. I am speculating it was a result of adding relatime to my fstab as that is the only system change before the problem. I have same problem now. but didn't try it in KDE 3 yet.

What should i do to my ~/.kde4/share/config/kdesurc file to solve this problem?

My installed packages:

...

rpm -qa | grep libkde4

libkde4-4.2.98-148.1

...

rpm -qa | grep yast2-qt

yast2-qt-pkg-2.17.27-0.1.1 yast2-qt-2.18.6-3.4.un

My kdesu is totally broken in both kde3 and 4 after my last update, editing kdesurc has made no difference. http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=511480 has a link to :- https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=199209 which describes the problem I have at the moment.
