[opensuse-kde] Outdated packages in KDE:Release:45
Because of the fixing of bnc#631306 zypper dup has started to show new "upgrades", and that shown a problem in the KDE:Release:45 repo: clucene-core 0.9.21-71.2 -> 0.9.21-2.1 x86_64 KDE 4.5 openSUSE -> obs://build.opensuse.org/KDE libblas3 3.2.1-7.1 -> 3.1.1-2.1 x86_64 KDE 4.5 openSUSE -> obs://build.opensuse.org/KDE libGLEW1_5 1.5.1-5.1 -> 1.5.0-67.1 x86_64 KDE 4.5 openSUSE -> obs://build.opensuse.org/KDE liblapack3 3.2.1-7.1 -> 3.1.1-2.1 x86_64 KDE 4.5 openSUSE -> obs://build.opensuse.org/KDE libotr2 3.2.0-5.1 -> 3.2.0-2.1 x86_64 KDE 4.5 openSUSE -> obs://build.opensuse.org/KDE Those packages would substitute the official, supported, ones for in some cases **older** versions. Looking at the project in the OBS I don't see them, but they are in http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Release:/45/openSUSE_11.3/x86... But those packages are from 04-Oct-2010, so it seems they should have been deleted and are there because of an error in the OBS. Could them be removed? My understanding with the usage of zypper dup is only to be used when doing a distribution upgrade. However, if you are switching from main repos to say KR45 repo then you would do something like: zypper dup --repo KR45 That way when you run zypper up to get updates it would pull from that repo for KDE-related packages and not from the main repos from openSUSE. I believe this is vendor stickiness iirc. -Matt -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

The problem is this file shouldn't be there: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Release:/45/openSUSE_11.3/x86... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

zypper search returns: S | Name | Summary | Type --+----------------------+------------------------------------------+-------- | libGLEW1_5 | OpenGL Extension Wrangler Library | package | libGLEW1_5-debuginfo | Debug information for package libGLEW1_5 | package but I do see what you mean. Doing a zypper info on ligGLEW1_5 shows its on the openSUSE-OSS repo. -Matt -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Well, I was also trying to say that "osc ls KDE:Release:45 glew" would have returned an error... but I just missed it when looking. So there is no error in the OBS, but "osc wipebinaries --build-disabled KDE:Release:45" needs to be run by someone with permissions. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

I've mentioned this in the #opensuse-kde channel on freenode's irc network. You might want to pop in and mention your findings as it appears you may be able to explain them a bit better than I :) -Matt -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
