I am almost finished battling through the nightmare of a KDE 3.2 upgrade on SuSE 9.0, but I have come to a standstill trying to fix the following error when starting kpackage: ~> kpackage konsole: chownpty failed for device /dev/ptyp0::/dev/ttyp0. : This means the session can be eavesdroped. : Make sure konsole_grantpty is installed in : /opt/kde3/bin/ and setuid root. kdecore (KAction): WARNING: KAction::plugAccel(): call to deprecated action. The last line is repeated 22 times and then the kpackage gui hangs. I have been unable to locate anything on "konsole_grantpty" and would welcome anyone's pointers or solutions to the problem. TIA Dave
