[opensuse-kde] kgpg shredder on KDE 4.2
Hi list, I really like kgpg in KDE 3.5 especially with shredder in my desktop. Now I move to KDE 4.2 and it seems shredder function will not be continue in kde 4 refer to http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134317. Does anyone knows any replacement to shredder in kde 4? regards, medwinz -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

With journal'ed filesystems that shredder function created a false feeling of security, that's why it has been removed.
Does anyone knows any replacement to shredder in kde 4?
There doesn't seem to be any at all, not kdebased not anything. Most tools seem only to work by wiping a whole partition... =/

Does it means that shredder only erase the file but not the related physical journal?

That's what I want to avoid :-) Then I should think another way. regards, medwinz -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Which would be a different filesystem or minimally, encryption. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
