I don't know if this is standard but my kinternet cuts off after a couple of minutes of no traffic. Is there a possibility somewhere to change this to a different time set or even to <no cut off> at all?
I doubt, that this is kinternet which does this. I would try searching for an option in /etc/ppp/* anywhere, buut I cannot remember a specific option or file.
Good day Daniel,
SuSE 8.1
Try the modem setup in YaST. network/Basic -> Setup Modem -> Configure -> Next (3 times) There is an option to set the idle time-out. Setting it to 0 means an infinite time-out.
Best regards :o)
