Kdm autologin user information; autologin fails
Hi, I'm using kdm and mwm as windowmanager. Now, when I configure a user for autologin by adding the correct settings for kdmrc I've got 2 problems: - going from non-autologin to autologin it is not enough to send a SIGHUP to kdm. I've got to restart kdm to get this working. - going from autologin user1 to user2 gives a error message 'authentication fails'. After a normal login procedure with user2 and a restart of kdm it works. So my question: does anyone knows how to fix this? Where does the displaymanager (I think this is a general thingy and not kdm specific) stores it's user authentication data? Regards Harry

Preferences -> KDE Components -> File Associations -> go to text->html and move Firefox above Konqeror in the list. -- Cheers, Trey ---- "I don't care who does the electing as long as I get to do the nominating" -- Boss Tweed FreeBSD 5.3-STABLE i386 i386 GENERIC 8:30PM up 5:50, 0 users, load averages: 1.06, 1.00, 0.93
That does change only the association for files.
For the applications which calls a web browser you have to change
Preferences -> KDE Components -> Component Selections -> Web-Browser
and type in "firefox".
I have a german kde so maybe the translation is a bit different.
