[opensuse-kde] KR46 vs. KDF
Hi, I'm wondering which of these two repositories do I use if I want to have the version which includes the 4.6 bugfix branch, which will become 4.6.1 ? (and how often is that repository updated to the git/svn KDE repos ?) -- Best regards/Schöne Grüße Martin () ascii ribbon campaign - against html e-mail /\ www.asciiribbon.org - against proprietary attachments Geschenkideen, Accessoires, Seifen, Kulinarisches: www.bibibest.at

KR46 is for you, afaik this is right now linked to kdf so right now there might be git branch updates and later I think javier will just do the regular dropped tarballs from kde.org, except maybe urgent bugfixes if you can provide a patch cheers, Karsten -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
I would go with the KDF repo.

The whole point of KR46 is to have fewer updates and less bumpy ride than KDF. Afaik adding the patches from "stable branch" to KDF is hampered by the move to git, because some scripts need to be updated. But if you are aware of important patches that should be added to KDF/4.6.0, then there's a chance you can convince Will Stephenson to do it. But he has much to do. There's a new openSUSE release coming up shortly, you know... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

+1. The point of KDF is to develop the next openSUSE release's KDE, so if there are particular bugs that need backports please use bugzilla.novell.com channels to make sure we track those.
