[opensuse-kde][tw] krandr apparently should be dependency but isn't
lspci reports onboard XGI Z7/Z9 (XG20 core) video With prior kernel, desktop-4.1.6, kdebase4-workspace's plasma-desktop session aborted cleanly on finding krandr (for whatever reason?) not installed. After installing and booting current kernel, default 4.2.3, attempting to start X totally locked up video, requiring CAD to do anything more. Since discovering and correcting missing krandr, X works normally with current kernel (and SIS XF86 driver). Only two lines contain string krandr in /var/log/zypp/history (dating back 21 months), both dated today, 4 seconds apart, last 2 lines in file. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." Also, running Plasma Workspace 4.11.x is not supported, with the exception of openSUSE 13.2 and earlier. I'm not even sure it *would* run in TW, at least. -- Luca Beltrame - KDE Forums team KDE Science supporter GPG key ID: A29D259B
