[opensuse-kde] Removal of the KDE:Distro:Stable repository
Dear listmates, We have discussed this already once in the past, but I would like to raise the question again if we can completly remove the KDE:Distro:Stable repository. At this moment it contains KDE 4.8.5 and I wonder if anyone is using this repository, as that it won't receive any updates anymore. For openSUSE users running 12.2 or lower, we have the KDE:Release:xy repositories to get a higher KDE release and for the openSUSE 12.3 users we are utilizing the maintenance project to provide the 4.10.x releases. I would target next week Wednesday 15 April for removal if there are no objections. +1 too, just think to push a note to news.o.o team and one or two blog post (agregate in planet) so everybody could whine after the drop :-) but knows how to fix broken repo .. Good luck, after one year and a half announcing changes for the fglrx drivers and month after killing redirection I've still have hundred of people that hit the old server and repository. Look like most of them doesn't care about repository that can't be joined :-) -- Bruno Friedmann Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch openSUSE Member & Ambassador GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 irc: tigerfoot -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

There is a lot of old, even obsolete, CD/DVDs that people will try when Windows is goofed up, but they have feeling that hardware is still usable. I had recent two questions about 12.1 DVDs that were given away, as you can guess, long time ago. Rule that links should live nearly forever, is not invented, it is just written observation by people that deal with Internet longer then we do. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
