Hello: While a complete set of updated packages for the recently released KDE 3.4 are being provided by SuSE for SuSE 9.0-9.2, many 'official' SuSE packages are still not available for upgrading SuSE 8.2 to the new KDE desktop. Amongst many others, the kdebas3 packages are still missing. I assume that with kdebase3 update packages missing, it is at this point not possible to update KDE reliably on SuSE 8.2. I would like to ask the list - and especially any SuSE/Novell representative reading this post - if SuSE 8.2 will still be supported and a complete set of packages will be provided during the next days. Or, if this be not the case, users are encouraged to compile the new KDE version for themselves, e.g. using the Konstruct scripts. -- Andreas Philipp Noema Ltda.
