[opensuse-kde] Upgrade to Plasma 5.6
Hi all, relatively new to OpenSUSE and still finding my way round Tumbleweed and zypper. Have previously used kubuntu for years. I'd like to upgrade to Plasma 5.6 and Frameworks 5.2 which I've seen other people mention doing. Did a zypper refresh/update which I presumed would, but it just left me at plasma 5.5.5 Would a "zypper dup" do the job? or would I need to add the SDB:KDE repositories first? As a general rule you don't need to add additional repos and stuff to have updated packages in Tumbleweed. With the risks and complexity that includes. You just need a little bit of patience. Yes, the repos do contain Plasma 5.6.1 since a week already (and Qt 5.6.0). KF 5.21.0 is being prepared at the moment, and will be in there as soon as it is released (next Saturday, according to the schedule), Plasma 5.6.2 as well. But actually you don't really need the additional repos for Tumbleweed, everything will be submitted to Tumbleweed anyway (and Plasma 5.6.1 has been submitted a week ago). It will just arrive there a bit later, because it has to go through testing first... (that's actually the purpose of Tumbleweed: always getting the latest versions of all packages, but in a rather "stable" way).
