[opensuse-kde] Amarok on openSUSE-11.2 no sound
Hi, Settings -> configure amarok -> playback -> configure: Music: 2 choices - Pulse Audio - HDA Intel (Generic) Press 'test' in this dialog for both options sound is here (KDE tune). There is no gstreamer listed Backend tab shows: Xine (it also shows 'deinterlacing' information, but this is I think not applicable for sound. Anyway the DVD is checked and deinterlacing method is set to 'use_vo_driver'). Tried different user, no sound either. Installed rpms are: amarok-2.1.1 libxine1-1.1.16.1-7.6 libxine1-gnome-vfs-1.1.16.1-7.6 libxine1-pulse-1.1.16.1-7.6 phonon-backend-xine-4.3.1-3.3 alsa-plugins-pulse-1.0.21-3.3 alsa-plugins-pulse-32bit-1.0.21-3.3 libpulse0-0.9.21-1.1.1 libpulse0-32bit-0.9.21-1.1.1 libxine1-pulse-1.1.16.1-7.6 pulseaudio-0.9.21-1.1.1 pulseaudio-lang-0.9.21-1.1.1 vlc-aout-pulse-1.0.4-1.54 When I navigate with Dolphin to my folder with mp3, and select one of them it's opened by VLC and the song is played. When I do the same and manually select 'kaffeine' to play the song, no sound is heart. An error msg is presented instead, stating: "cannot find input plugin for MRL [cdda:/]". I tried 'aplay' to play the mp3's, but that only resulted in noise. In this case I assume that I should supply aplay with arguments. But for now, I don't know which ones. Can anybody give me a hint where to start to get Amarok play my music? -- TIA, Richard -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
