Sure, but ther are users who rely on official packages+updates. And unless KDE 4.7 is shipped as an official update for 11.4 those people will have a crashing network-management and the above bug. And if you read the comments on the blog by the main pnm dev it seems that openSUSE is annoying him big time because of not shipping official updates for obviously broken packages.
