[opensuse-kde] Upgrading to KDE 4.5.1 from new installed openSUSE 11.3
I needed to refresh my 11.3 installation, so I had KDE 4.4.4 installed. I added KDE:Distro:Factory and Extra and Playground, but the last 2 do not have a relation to my problem AFAIK. Trying to use the versions of the packages in KDF by choosing Repositories and clicking on Enable the packages in that repository shows a number of dependencies to be solved. One is python-sip >= 4.11 missing. Searching for this package shows that it is available in a.o. KDE:Qt. So I assume this should be mentioned on http://en.opensuse.org/KDE_repositories#Factory_.28KDE_4.5.29 or the remark should be removed on http://en.opensuse.org/KDE_repositories#Qt_4.6_release that this repository is not needed or the packages in KDE:Qt should be in KDF. Installation of python-sip-4.11 , using one-click-install succeeds after resolving a number of dependencies by keeping older versions. After that I tried to upgrade all packages in KDF, which only partly succeeded after solving quite a large number of dependencies by keeping older versions of packages. KDF is undergoing a rebuild, which could explain some of the problems.
