[opensuse-kde] When is the slow refresh going to be fixed in Dolphin for 4.11 and openSUSE 13.1?
Hello List mates, Why is it that KDE4 has a file manager that has the slowest refresh when initializing it for the first time? This was never a problem with Konqueror, KDE3 and even GNOME's Nautilus. Microsoft and OSX never had an issue. Why only Dolphin and how can this be addressed in 4.11 and openSUSE 13.1? -- Cheers! Looks like the patch has gone through and Dolphin's "unknown icons" problem will be addressed in KDE 4.11. See: https://freininghaus.wordpress.com/ -- Cheers! Roman -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Anyway, best 1st step would be to report your issue at bugs.kde.org ;-) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

What I mean is when Dolphin is started up for the first time, the user sees white semi-looking folders with a question mark in the middle. They are then replaced with the correct folders. Frank Reininghaus calls them unknown icons. Try navigating to /usr/bin and then scroll down. You will see what I mean. Anyways, I was going to submit it but then I cam upon his blog. We won't see this patch until 4.11 RC2. Cheers! Roman -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org

Follow Up I've already reported in 2012. -- Cheers! Roman -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
