[opensuse-kde] Access under KDE to Floppy
Hello Mates, one of our Box-Support-Clients had an Question. He wrote, that he can access the Floppy via Desktop or konqueror. But now he says, that it is not possible in the openSUSE 11.2. Is another Way to do this? -- Sincerely yours Sascha Manns open-slx GmbH openSUSE Member openSUSE Community & Support Agent openSUSE Ambassador Web: http://www.open-slx.de openSUSE Marketing Team Web: http://www.open-slx.com openSUSE Build Service openSUSE Medical Team Web: http://saschamanns.gulli.to Blog: http://saigkill.wordpress.com ClaimID: http://claimid.com/saigkill -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

Since I am prolly the only person in the world who still has a floppy drive - - other than this guy - I dug up an old floppy to try it. If I click on the "Floppy Drive" entry in the Dolphin Places panel, it doesn't seem to work, but actually the floppy gets mounted to /media/disk/ - I just seem to have to go to the location manually. The floppy drive entry in sysinfo:/ doesn't seem to be of any use at all. Of course he could also just do things the reliable old fashioned way and 'mount /dev/fd0 /some/folder/for/ancient/relics/'. You should prolly suggest that he move his data to more reliable and contemporary media :-) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org

I tooooo :^). An ls120 drive but it has apparently bit the dust. Would not have noticed except for this thread. Hasn't been used much in the last several years..... -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
