[opensuse-kde3] [problem] kdebase3-workspace 3.5.10.1-370.2
Ok, I'm not a coder, but it's my opinion that there's a problem with the following update: kdebase3-workspace 3.5.10.1-370.2 KDE: KDE3 openSUSE_13.1 x86_64 As a consequence of the update no KDE3 session login is possible. My default display manager is kdm4. My default session is KDE4. Auto login is disabled. KDE4 session login works regularly, but if Ichoose KDE3 session, insert password and hit return, after a few seconds, (black screen), I go back to the display manager. Workaround: - downgrade the mentioned package to OSS Repository version - substitute /opt/kde3/bin/startkde, (or the whole mentioned package), with the one taken from the last KDE3 Repository package before the update, (if one still has it somewhere). - manually modify /opt/kde3/bin/startkde if one knows what he is doing, (I don't). Hmm, the same here with openSUSE 13.2 (default DM kdm3). Nothing interesing in logs... -- Mark Goldstein -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+owner@opensuse.org

Possibly this is a result of this change: https://build.opensuse.org/package/rdiff/KDE:KDE3/kdebase3?linkrev=base&rev=945 Somebody decided to fix the bash scripts... I will revert it. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+owner@opensuse.org
