Hi, I today created a draft appliance of the Invis Server on openSUSE using SUSE Studio. You can download an image from http://susegallery.com/a/hG4x8R/klaas-invis-draft Note that this is just for experimenting and not meant to be a product or recommended solution at all. Its just to experiment, internal use only. _NO_ Production! The appliance is based on another appliance called "MiniSUSE" which comes with an light IceWM which I find handy to be able to open various XTerms. I tried to add all needed packages for Invis. The Invis install directory is located in roots homedir. Log in using the password 'Invis' for all users. The script sine needs to be called after the image was booted. It installed far, but I am not sure if it really succeeded. Hope you find that useful, have a nice weekend, Klaas -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-invis+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-invis+help@opensuse.org

Wow! I'll check it this weekend! :) Stefan -- www.invis-server.org Stefan Schäfer Vogelsbergstr. 27 63679 Schotten -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-invis+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-invis+help@opensuse.org
Hi Klaas, it seems, that the vmdk-image of your appliance is broken. I could not import it to Virtualbox. If i try get the folowing error-message: "Failed to import appliance /local/VirtualBox/Klaas_Invis_Draft-0.0.1/Klaas_Invis_Draft.i686-0.0.1.ovf. The SHA1 digest of 'Klaas_Invis_Draft.i686-0.0.1-disk1.vmdk' does not match the one in 'Klaas_Invis_Draft.i686-0.0.1.mf'." There is one other point i want to mention. For testing the invis setup-script "sine" the appliance must have two network interfaces. Per default invis servers works as a router. It differentiates between an internal interface, where the local services works on and an external for internet connection. I understand that. Maybe it makes sense to have it configurable to also use one disk? For testing that has benefits, but are there use scenarios also for that? Klaas -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-invis+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-invis+help@opensuse.org
