[opensuse-gnome] Gnome 3.8 and Eclipse
Dear All, there appears to be a problem in running eclipse with gnome 3.8 due to webkit incompatibilities. A lot of information can be gained from this Ubuntu bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-gnome/+bug/1163501 Unfortunately I don't know enough to understand if something can be done on the system side (as opposed to the Eclipse side) to make Eclipse run correctly on OpenSUSE with GNOME 3.8. This is an Eclipse problem, see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=404776 . Sadly we'll have to wait for a new release from Eclipse Project. thank you for your answer, Ismail. At the end of the bug report I
linked, someone posted a workaround, which works for me (you have to
add a string to eclipse.ini)! While we wait for a new release, that
seems to be a good solution
