Bundle of packages that gives a preview of GNOME 3

This bundle of packages lets you preview GNOME 3. It will install: - GNOME Shell: the core of the new GNOME interface. You can choose GNOME 3 Preview in GDM to test it. - Zeitgeist: a new way to access your document. - New accessibility stack: the accessibility stack was rewritten. Zeitgeist Engine

Zeitgeist is a service which logs the users's activities and events (files opened, websites visites, conversations hold with other people, etc.) and makes relevant information available to other applications. It has support for tagging items (both automatically by the data provider and manually by the user) and bookmarking items. Further, it is able to establish relationships between items based on similarity and usage patterns (this feature isn't implemented yet). This is the Zeitgeist backend engine. gnome-zeitgeist
