Repositories probably shouldn't have the + 'autorefresh' option, but the package manager should refresh the + repositories whenever the user asks for it and have an auto-update in + the background, updating like once a day or twice a week or something. + This makes sure you don't have to wait for anything before you can + install/remove apps.
