[New: openFATE 310451] Improve KDE startup
Feature added by: Alvise Z (alvise_cav) Feature #310451, revision 1 Title: Improve KDE startup openSUSE-11.4: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Alvise Z (alvise_cav) Description: OpenSuse has done a fantastic job in improving boot time. Today, if we consider the total time required from switching-on the computer up to the moment when the desktop is ready for the user, we can see that the bottleneck has become now the KDE startup time. This improvement will have tremendous benefits for all desktop users, and even more for netbook users! It will also put even more into light all the progresses that have already been done in improving boot time. Probably this wish should be proposed upstream. However, Opensuse is the biggest KDE promoter, and is deeply involved in KDE development. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/310451
