[New: openFATE 312301] add updategrub to the rescue system
Feature added by: Jean-Daniel Dodin (jdd) Feature #312301, revision 1 Title: add updategrub to the rescue system openSUSE Distribution: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Jean-Daniel Dodin (jdd) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: the forum user please_try_again published a very clever script available in his home OBS directory and called "updategrub". This script is extremely usefull for debugging boot problems, but nearly impossible to install from the rescue system, so it should be available right there. Use Case: thgis script is usefull to fix most grub problems. It can find all the bootable sectors of a drive and modify accordingly the grub menu (or simply display the necessary data). Business case (Partner benefit): openSUSE.org: fixing boot problems is one one the most difficult thing. One have often only the rescue system at hand, so very few tools, console only and a non running system. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/312301
