[opensuse-factory] I want remove a package from a devel project, but the package is in Factory
The package ktoblzcheck does not belong to KDE. Yet somebody put it in KDE:KDE3. It is in Factory but I want to remove it from KDE:KDE3. Can any other devel project take care of it? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I would guess the kmymoney depends on ktoblzcheck which is probably why it ended up in the KDE repository. If you no longer want to maintain the package there and you do not want to maintain the package, the first thing will be to find a new maintainer for the package, i.e. send a "for sale" message to factory. The new maintainer could find a new home project for the package and then create a request to change the development project in Factory for the package. Please clarify how to send such message.

Hmmm, generally I prefer not to write messages that other people get to send as everyone should figure out how to write their own e-mails, but here is an example: """""" to: opensuse-factory@opensuse.org subject: package for sale Hi, I no longer have interest to maintain the package ktoblzcheck and would appreciate if someone could take over as maintainer. Information about the package can be found here: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/KDE:KDE3/ktoblzcheck upstream is here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ktoblzcheck/ the library provided is used by financial packages such as kmymoney and gnucash. The package is in Factory and needs a new maintainer. I would appreciate if the new maintainer could find a new devel project for the package as well. Please let me know if you have interest in maintaining the package. """"""" There it is, not really all that difficult ;) After you find a new maintainer spend some time looking at the osc docs to figure out how to change devel projects etc. -> osc --help should provide all the information you need. And if it doesn't file bug reports and enhance the wiki documentation. Cheers, Lars -- Lars Müller [ˈlaː(r)z ˈmʏlɐ] Samba Team + SUSE Labs SUSE Linux, Maxfeldstraße 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany
