[opensuse-factory] leafnode@.service is missing the instance name
I'm trying to understand leafnode with the new systemd service files. Gnus
gives me "connection refused". Could anyone explain?
sgt:~ # systemctl start leafnode@
Failed to start leafnode@.service: Unit name leafnode@.service is missing the
instance name.
See system logs and 'systemctl status leafnode@.service' for details.
sgt:~ # telnet localhost nntp
Trying ::1...
telnet: connect to address ::1: Connection refused
Trying 127.0.0.1...
telnet: connect to address 127.0.0.1: Connection refused
sgt:~ # leafnode
200 Leafnode NNTP Daemon, version 1.11.11 running at sgt.decathlon.org (my
fqdn: sgt.decathlon.org)
quit

sgt:~ # systemctl status leafnode@
Failed to get properties: Unit name leafnode@.service is missing the instance
name.

This is a "variable" style service. There needs to be something after the @. As the systemd unit has no variable however I think this might be a mistake. Why don't you do a "systemctl start leafnode"? Or "systemctl start leafnode.service", if you want to be accurate? --

There is no such service, only a leafnode.socket.
